Introducing Fico-YTL Graduate Development Programs

Fico-YTL Graduate Development Programs (GDPs) are designed for people who are eager to learn and develop their leadership skills to fulfill their potential. Fresh graduates, with great potential and a clear career development pathway, will have special training programs designed on functional knowledge and key skills required for them to be successful in their permanent position.

In an effort to work towards human resource sustainability to build future leaders, ensure the sustainable business development of the Company, Fico-YTL GDPs are invested and equipping young talents with a clear career development pathway, training programs designed on technical knowledge and key skills in a dynamic and modern environment.

In the past 8 months, there have been 5 intakes. The Company received hundreds of applications. Shortlisted candidates were put through a stringent selection process and dozens of new employees were hired across these departments – Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, Production, Maintenance, OHS&S.

Fico-YTL GDPs are aimed at accelerating the growth of young talents with great potential. Training programs are then designed based on their career development pathway.

Phase 1: On-boarding

New employees will be on-boarded on our shared values, business direction and operations. They will also be given soft and functional skills training. Also available is our mentorship program to help new employees adapt to the new business environment

Phase 2: Gaining functional experience

In this phase, employees will gain a broader view on their role in the context of the business. They will have the opportunity to build their network and acquire necessary functional skills. This phase is designed in a boot camp/field combination to enable employees to learn and practice at the same time.

Phase 3: Performing in your position

Employees will now have the chance to put into practice what they have learnt. Feedback and coaching will be provided for continuous development.
