FICO-YTL EXPRESSES STRONGLY IT’S 2019 CSR ACTIVITIES IN TAY NINH

In addition to investing in business development, creating hundreds of jobs for workers, Fico-YTL annually submits hundreds of billion VND to the tax budget of Tay Ninh province and is sponsoring a lot of activities for local community development continuously from 2009 to the present.

More than 100 guests, including businessmen and representatives of consulates, chambers of commerce in Vietnam and employees of Saigon Economic Times attended the ceremony to honor the Saigon Times CSR 2019 held in Caravelle Hotel, District 1, TP. HCM on Dec 12th 2019. Fico-YTL is one of the businesses that are honored for practical and effective contributions to the community and society.

According to Fico-YTL leader, over the past time, the company has made significant contributions to the construction of infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development of Tan Chau district such as: supporting 10 thousand tons. cement – equivalent to 12.4 billion dong for making 794 road; contribute capital to build new Saigon Bridge with an expense of 11 billion dong; support 300 million dong to build 2 classrooms of Tan Hoa C. Primary School. In addition, the company also supports hundreds of tons of cement to build schools, health stations, border posts, charity houses, support support to supply clean water for people in Tan Hoa commune. Since Tay Ninh Cement Plant came into operation, the company prioritizes recruiting employees in the district to work.

On the afternoon of February 13, at Tay Ninh Cement Plant (Tan Hoa commune, Tan Chau district), Mr. Nguyen Minh Tan – Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee came to present the certificate and souvenir art of Chairman of Tay Ninh People’s Committee to Fico Tay Ninh Cement Joint Stock Company (Fico-YTL). The company was awarded a certificate of merit for its achievements in contributing to the social security work in Tan Chau district.

In the period of 2010-2018, Fico-YTL provided Tan Chau district with 3.75 billion VND to implement social security policies. This funding is managed by Tan Chau District People’s Committee, used for the right purposes and brought into full play. The district has built 20 new houses of gratitude for policy families, 10 houses of great solidarity for poor households, added funding for building and repairing 55 houses of gratitude; supporting the district’s Study Encouragement Fund of VND 640 million to grant nearly 1,300 scholarships to poor students who overcome difficulties in studying; medical examination and treatment, medicine provision, gifts for policy beneficiaries, the poor and disadvantaged children on occasions of holidays, New Year…

At the groundbreaking ceremony of Line 2 – Tay Ninh Cement Plant in April 2018, Mr. Le Duc Huy – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fico Tay Ninh Cement Joint Stock Company awarded a valuable grant. VND 750 million for the “Social Security Program 2018” for Tan Chau district, VND 300 million for the “Social Security Program” in Duong Minh Chau district, and VND 300 million for the “Fund for the poor” province of Tay Ninh.

In early 2019, Tan Chau District People’s Committee and Fico-YTL signed the contents of coordination to implement social security work in the district in the period 2019-2023. Accordingly, Fico-YTL continues to sponsor social security activities in the district with the amount of 750 million VND per year, of which support for the district is 600 million VND, Tan Hoa commune is 150 million VND per year.

Mr. Le Duc Huy – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fico Tay Ninh Cement Joint Stock Company, said that during 11 years of operation in Tay Ninh, the company has sponsored a lot for social security programs and community activities in Tay Ninh province and in the localities around Tay Ninh Cement Plant with a total value of nearly VND 100 billion.
